Cycling in Frisia
Take advantage of one of the loveliest ways to become acquainted with the beauty of Frisia and ride your bicycle along the Ems-Jade-Canal. Pedal through countryside and meadows or take the well constructed bike paths on the dykes. A good chance by the way to explore what would have remained a secret to you while driving along in your car. Feel the fresh air, enjoy the panoramic view and notice the variety of cultural and natural treasures Frisia has to offer.
With the bicycle tour map of the region you will be able to orientate yourself well enough to find your favourite way within the fully developed cycle track net of our Frisian area.
Another possibility of getting to know our gorgeous holiday region is to take a trip on our well marked cycling route "Tour de Fries"!

Frisia - Skater's country
The Friesian plains offer a lot of opportunities for a skater's dreams into all four directions. You can enjoy the charming native country during your fascinating trip through the healthy North Sea air. Roll along - far away from streets and traffic - next to or on the dykes and through marsh land and along ancient moors. While underway you will be astonished by the contradiction of mighty churches and neat little farming villages on small banks - the so-called "Wurten". Get excited about elegant stately homes or the coexistence of traditional windmills and ultra-modern wind turbines! You can glide along fast on the smooth asphalt and - when getting exhausted - always stop for a cold Jever Pilsner or a typical cup of East-Frisian tea!
